Business structure
Choosing and setting up the right structure, and founder arrangements that hold up later.
Building a business is hard, and harder for a first-generation founder. We would like to share some of that load.
Who it is for
The Programme is for first-generation entrepreneurs in India, at any stage of the journey: from a working idea to a business that is starting to grow. You do not need a family business behind you, a network of investors or a polished pitch deck. You need a real problem, a serious plan to solve it, and the willingness to do the work.
What we work on with you
Choosing and setting up the right structure, and founder arrangements that hold up later.
Planning cash cycles, credit and capital spend so growth does not starve the business.
Getting the most out of a small team, limited money and the time you have.
Sourcing, vendors, logistics and the terms on which you buy and sell.
Preparing to raise: your plan, your numbers, your records and the questions investors will ask.
Staying on the right side of the rules that apply to you, from the start.
The first cheque
For some founders in the Programme, the people behind Benevolent Group may choose to come on board as angel investors and write an early cheque. Each such decision is taken individually, on the merits of that business, and entirely at our discretion. We invest only our own money. We do not raise, pool or manage money for anyone else.
This is not hand-holding. This is not charity.
This is a programme: the Benevolent Programme™.
How to apply
We read every application and will get back to you where we see a fit.
The Benevolent Programme™ is not a fund, an investment scheme or an offer of securities, and nothing on this page is an invitation to invest or investment advice. The Programme does not accept money from investors. Any investment in a participating business is made by the individuals concerned, from their own funds, at their sole discretion and subject to diligence and definitive documentation. Being part of the Programme does not mean that an investment will be made.
